Welcome to our blog. As part of the curling community in Saint John NB, we thought our first blog post would be about... Well, our sport. Some people think the game is complicated and it can be, but once you know the basics the rest comes pretty easy. Plus, you never have to worry about feeling uncomfortable, there are always experienced players around that just love to chat about the game and mentor you along. Let's face it we are a friendly bunch of folks. When I started I really knew nothing about the game, but I had a great skip that taught me and I watched a lot on TV. I truly think that the mystique of the game is one of it's best a worst qualities. Worst, only because that mystique keeps people from the game. Heck, It almost has it own language. Which is a great lead to the purpose of this post. Curling Canada recently released a video that demystifies the game in a fun way possible way. Check out the Two Minute Guide to Curling and thanks for reading.
